What on earth is our Advent Adventure?

Updated: Nov 10, 2020

As we're getting ready to launch our new product in the next few days, I thought I'd pop up some FAQ to answer a few questions!

What is TopicTeach Advent Adventure?

Advent Adventure is a set of 24 daily learning resources, one for each day from 1st December until Christmas. Each day is presented as a large Christmas card and covers a different Christmas-themed topic, giving a wide range of exciting learning opportunities. Along with the daily learning cards, there is a wide range of downloadable activities to choose from, giving children fun, accessible activities that support the learning topic. I started out with the idea of a giant advent calendar with information inside and its developed from there!

Who is Advent Adventure for?

The program is suitable for children up to about 11 or 12. We have endeavoured to include activities that will suit a wide range of ages and abilities. We promise that there are no revelations about Santa. It can be used by classes or families, for home learning as part of home education or simply as an easy way for your Elf on the Shelf to bring something every day!

How long will Advent Adventure take?

It is entirely flexible. You might want to simply read through the day’s topic and chat about the content, or you might choose to complete a number of activities to complement it. We know families are busy (especially at this time of year) and that children’s attention spans vary. You can choose to do as little or as much as you want.

What is included in the price?

The cost for Advent Adventure includes either printed copies of the topic learning cards or downloadable topic learning cards, depending on the option you have chosen. With both these options, you will get access to the activity resources which you can choose to download and print when you want. These will be available towards the end of November, in good time for you to prepare for use in December.
